Sylvania Group has been awarded a silver EcoVadis certificate
It is proof of our unwavering commitment to sustainable development and responsible business practices. This achievement reflects our commitment to making a positive impact on the environment and society.
We are proud of this recognition, which confirms our continuous efforts to make an environmentally friendly way of doing things a priority. Obtaining the EcoVadis certificate is not only a milestone for us, but a symbol of our promise to set an example in the pursuit of a greener and more sustainable future.
We raised the rating nicely from last year from bronze to silver. When we develop a new product and service, we use sustainable methods of operation to obtain optimal lighting solutions and minimize the environmental impact. We use comprehensive waste and energy saving protocols in which all employees of our company participate and which extend to all areas of our operations.
We believe that responsible business and the well-being of society are closely connected. Our mission is to bring technology, creativity and innovation together with the help of our products, services and employees, and thus improve energy efficiency and responsibility and promote well-being.
EcoVadis responsibility assessment
EcoVadis is a sustainable development evaluation system, the areas of which are evaluated and scored are environmental actions, issues related to labor and human rights, ethics and responsible procurement. The points describe the quality of the company's sustainable development management system at the time of evaluation. The evaluation is valid for one year at a time. Based on the score, the company is awarded a bronze, silver, gold or platinum medal. Founded in 2007, EcoVadis has evaluated more than 75,000 companies in 160 countries and 200 different industries. EcoVadis' assessment method is based on internationally accepted principles of corporate responsibility reporting, such as the Global Reporting (GRI) guidelines, the UN's Global Combat initiative and the ISO 26000 standard.
